how do i fix the swivel on a flip out towing mirror

i pulled my mirror in the other day and when i pushed it back out it didnt lock back into place i wondering if anyone else has had this problem there is a circle slot underneath the plastic bracket bu i didnt want to try take it off and mess my warranty up on it does anyone know how to fix my problem THANKS

  you have to replace the mirror

  You could try pulling it out again and try to fix it correctly. or if you are not sure you will do it right ask for professional help from your mechanic. because even if you have to purchase a new one , you still have to remove the one not fixed correctly.
