how expensive is it to replace an air bag?

The air bag on my nissan titan is on and I know that the truck was in an accident before i bought it, but the previous owner told me that the air bags had not open, any idea how much it would cost to repair that? Also the controls on the steering wheel are not working, (radio, phone, horn)

  This situation sounds to me as if the air bag did deploy, and that it damaged the internal controls for the steering wheel. Something to consider here is that, when a bag deploys, the controller, (computer) for the bags must be replaced as well. Is the air bag light on on the dash? It is also possible that a fuse or relay for the controls on the wheel is not supplying voltage to the wheel. Ray

  yes the air bag light is on at all times. . is this something that can only be done at the dealership? How much do you think it would cost to fix?Thanks guys for your advice, I really appreciate it.
