hesitations on hills when tank between 1/4 to half full

When gas tanks gets to about 1/4 engine hesitates on hill, particularly on hot days.

  Check fuel system;
  
  Fuel pressure - could be the problem. Make fuel pressure test with mechanic assistance
  
  Fuel pump faulty - check the voltage
  
  Check pressure regulator - disconnect the fuel return line, is fuel being returned during low pressure?
  
  Dirt in the fuel tank - clean the tank
  
  Dirt in the fuel lines - clean the lines
  
  Clogged fuel filter - replace it with new fuel filter
