  Need more information - what is the knocking? Does the sound originate from the heater fan motor on the interior? The heater system has no moving parts - only coolant circulating through a small heater core to provide the heat. The only associated movement would be either the heter / blower fan, or the heater blend door built into the instrument panel to control to flow of the warmed air.
