Why do i hear noise from my tires even when i am not excellerating?

There are no indicator lights on but i here this noise that i cant describe coming from the front tire area even when the car is just rolling. My husband thinks it is the barings but he really doesnt have a clue.

  could be wheel barings..depends wether its a hum or a sqealing sound

  probably wheel bearings, could be a brake pad wear sensor also, depends on the sound - (like Stevec said) In some cases the tires themselves are making noise. This can be ruled out by simply rotating the tires front to back and see if the noise changes and now seems like it is coming from the rear.
