1996 GMC K1500 Suburban SLT 8Cyl5.7L - Body & Interior

The headlights, dash cluster and all other lighting on the truck flickers all the time. How do I fix this?

  Alternator ?
  Remove the battery feed wire to the alternator and the alternator plug and protect the terminal end with tape so it don't short out, secure it somewhere. Now drive the truck for 5 minutes maximum so you don't get stuck. (with alternator not charging and separated from the rest of the trucks wiring) If the flickering is gone you have a bad alternator.
