2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Z71 8Cyl5.3L - Steering & Suspension

hard to steer after backing out of pkg space then into drive

I need help the steering is stiff after going into drive from reverse, and it whines also making turns, sterring is fine while driving just makes the whine at that time of turning

  First check to make sure power steering is full of fluid . If so I would have to say the power steering pump is going out .

  yea the fluid was low we added some but still does it. someone on the internet said it needs a steering speed sensor or evo sensor or steering wheel position sensor, i am assuming that part goes by all of the above names.
