Fuel economy for my 8.1

how do i get better fuel economy from my truck ? I have 4:11 gears in it, if i change them will it help?

  Any increase would not pay down the cost to change the gears over and if it is 4WD, the gears in the front I believe would need to be changed as well. I assume that the fuel mileage is not good compared to how it was at an earlier time or it is not good compared to your expectations?

  it is 4WD just want to get a couple more miles if I could. It gets around 7-8 pulling my fifth wheel and around 10 in town and 12 on road

  It will cost you 2000 to change gears in the front and rear.
