Cause of faint smoke from drivers side seat motor under seat that controls backrest part of seat.
Had to repair a wire the other day that leads into the plug that controls the entire seat forward and back movement. After successfully repairing the "cut" wire I noticed a slight smoke coming out of the endcap from the motor that controls the backrest movement. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

DrkShdw983 5/5/2011This is actually normal believe it or not... as the motor wears it will produce a bit of smoke. If you start to get a strong smell or a lot of smoke than it's time to replace the motor.
