2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 4Cyl2.4L - Engine
The engine do not come on untill i reprogramme it
The engine would not start even if i just switched it off few minutes ago but the moment i programe it will start so in a day i end up programing it three or four times. programming it means that i crack the engine/ignition, turn it off then on it again leave it on while the security light flashes for about 10 minutes untill it stops, then switch if off for about 30 seconds them if i start it ,it will start

sound like a problem with the anti-theft system i suggest having the dealership do a factory reprogram.

You have a bad passlock cylinder. Replace the cylinder and housing together, reprogram it once and you will be OK.
