2008 Saturn Astra XR 4Cyl1.8L - Engine

engine shuts off when air conditioner is turned on

took car to shop for oil change, a/c was on. when mechanic started car after oil change it would not start. a/c unit had to be off to start.

  Disconnect the battery negative terminal for a minute and reattach it and see if it resolves itself.

  Also, before you do that attach a code reader and see if any fault codes set. maybe he disturbed something very near the oil filter having to do with the idle, maybe the iAC (idle air control) .
