Why does the engine shut off while driving?

Engine will shut off without warning usually after it gets hot and the AC is running on max.
Must pull over to side of road and let it set for 3 or 4 minutes then it will start again.
Have been told it could be 3 or 4 things: pick-up coil, crank position sensor, or fuel pump.

WHAT IS THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE?

Engine analysis will not show up because the check-engine light does not come on.

  it may be the fuel pump. is the engine light on

  when mine did that it was the fuel pump

  Replace the pickup coil first (also called a camshaft position sensor) Also, just because the engine service light is not on does not mean that there are no codes present. Check the codes before buying parts.
