1992 Dodge Caravan Base 6Cyl3.0L - Engine

The engine quit and no sparks.My scanner had a link error to the ECM.I swapped the ASD with the fuel pump, no avail.

  1. Check to see if the Auto Shut Down Relay (ASD) clicks at key on.
  
  2. Cycle the key on, off, on, off and back on again within 5 seconds.
  
  3. The check engine light should flash a code 55 even if there isn't any codes.
  
  4. Check the power feeds on the Red wire at pin #3, the Dark Blue wire at pin #9, the grounds at pins 11 and 12 Black/Tan wires at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with it connected and the key on.
  
  Probable open fuse link near the battery.

  I checked the pins# 3, 9 , reference ground to pins 11 and 12 .There is 12 Volts in both pins 3,9. The cycle key on and off didn't activated no clicks to the ASD.

  Milllions thanks to HouseCalllAuto.I replaced my powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the minivan runs like a new one again.The cost was $180.00 dollars.
