Engine dies while driving
88k miles- I purchased the truck and began the 1200 mile trip home. About half way home humming along on the interstate the engine dies. Coast to a stop and after 15 min I'm able to start it up. Happened twice before making home. Headlights always worked and starter spun, just no engine start. I've continued to drive for months with no problems after that. Happened again. I replaced the in tank fuel pump and the fuel filter next to the fire wall. Then ran good. The next two times it cut out when making left turns. This time the dash gauges went dead. Otherwise same: headlights work, starter spins and no ignition of any kind. Wait a few to 15min, hit the starter and, bingo. Included in the bag of symptoms on the last incident was that the ignition key would not run the starter. Again, after a few min the key worked the starter and it fired up. Parked it and here i am. What do you think?

The ignition control module under the coils is likely to be the cause of the stall out, HOWEVER, the no crank situation I have no answer for as the ignition module will not cause that, but since the no crank onlt=y happened one time, I am gonna chalk that up to you not having placed the vehicle all the way into park because there are few things that can cause that and the likelihood of you having two separate and unrelated problems at the same time is a reach.
