1987 Oldsmobile Firenza LX 4Cyl2.0L - Engine

when i drive car it dies and then it starts and runs for a while then dies out again,there is a electric switch on carb,

the electric input is on on side of carb,i believe there is two such electric inputs on carb.can you please tell me what these are and the name of each and if they have anything to do with cruise control

  one I believe is called a stepper motor...there's another name...can't remember....the other should be electric choke...black round thing...with wire on it............
