1992 Nissan Pathfinder SE 6Cyl3.0L - Engine

I don't know what's wrong at all, it's hesitating to start and it's not running well when i drive it

I try to start my car but it won't turn over and when it does it sounds like it's struggling to stay on, then when i put my foot on the gas pedal the tachometer jumps up to four and stays there. It's taking a long time to get up to speed and i can feel it struggling. It also sounds like a diesel engine now it's making a very rough sound like a big truck.

  Check the timing belt alignment. If that is good there is a very high failure rate on distributors on this engine causing varied problems.

  How many miles on the truck? When was the last time it had an ignition tune-up, new spark plug, wires cap and rotor?
