Several possibilities; revision / change to the design during the model year - often (based on the vehicle build date) the manufacturer may make midyear changes. Other possibilitiy is, the axles you are comparing are not for this vehicle application - but may be for another vehicle.
An easy check for the correct parts - try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com for the replacement parts and comparison.
For example, the halfshaft assembly (PN DW8005) for the Front Left or Front Right (automatic transmission) with ABS is; 20 15/32" (51.9906 cm) overall compressed length, and has 34 splines on the transmission (inboard) side and 33 splines on the outboard side - for your vehicle.
