RE differential: If I'm driving it when it locks up, does that mean I will stop instantly, no matter what speed?
I've been told I need to have my differential rebuilt or replaced but don't have the money right now. Will I know before it locks up? I mean, other than the loud noise it's making now, will I get any other warning before it locks up?

HouseCallAuto 2/1/2013No, you will not stop instantly. It would shatter the cast iron housing before that. The noise will be VERY evident though and you may do damage beyond what needs to be replaced at this moment.
