  Needs a new ignition switch and it on the back of the steering lock and not repairable ,go to merc dealer with cars papers and your passport and a utility bill in your name to prove you live their and they will order a new one ,

  been their done it got the teashirt on more than one occasion with merc parts ,Ever tried buying this part when the owner in the uk ,for a RHD model as well .i Gave up and waited till they came back to spain on holiday .
