Creaking Noise When Front End Travels
When there's any travel in the front end I hear a creaking rubbing type noise like it needs greased or something. Are there grease fittings that should be greased or is it time to replace the shocks/struts?

the cause is most often a dry / frozen ball joint and there are not grease fittings there, the parts get replaced. Shocks and struts do not make squeaking noises very often but are often misdiagnosed and replaced.

would that also explain the slight pull to the same side I'm hearing the noise from?

Possibly but the pull does not have to be related to the cause of the squeak. You might rotate the tires front to back and the pull may be gone.

yeah I've done the rotate thing and it didn't change a bit. Still exactly the same. Thanks for the help. I miss the good ole days when a lube job was the answer to most any front end noise

I was just looking and Advance auto offers a replacement ball joint made by moog that does come with a grease fitting. It does cost a little more the the OEM replacement but it says it has to be pressed in. How could a guy do that himself at home without a press?
