2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SL 8Cyl5.3L - Body & Interior
Courtesy lamps dome lights etc.... Won't turn off
I've pretty much figured that it has to be a door jamb sensor which on this of truck it is included in the door lock and handle assembly. Turns out these jewels run over 200$. Any ideas on how to figure out which one is triggering the problem and how to bypass. I've had these fuse pulled for the time being

Probably the driver side but to be sure you have to hook up a shop grade scan tool that can read the door inputs and determine which door is actually closed and which one is reading open.

The body control module (BCM) control base on inputs from door jamb switch, dome lamp switch or door handle switch. The BCM will supply a ground to the courtesy lamp relay when closing any one of the above switches to ground. the only way to find out is with a voltmeter and wires diagram checking all the input wires from the switches above, if you find a ground in one of this input that's the culprit,, other way you can unplug all the switches but that's waste too much time to find out you have a bad BCM..
