2008 Nissan Xterra Off-Road 6Cyl4.0L - Steering & Suspension
What is the best way to correct sagging rear springs when loaded? Rear axle hits rubber frame bumper.
What is the least expensive, least impactful modification to make without severely affecting the overall height of the vehicle in an unloaded state? Would adding a helper spring set to the rear leafs be the best option? Any suggestions?

First if it's going down that far you are really over loading your truck . Plan on having things starting to brake . But if you want the best thing is a small set of over load air bags ( not air shocks ) . They are a better ride and more stable than helper springs . A complete set will cost around $300 - $400 for everything and you can put them in yourself . Other than that a bigger truck ?

    Rick,
Thank you for your reply. The rear bottoms out with passengers and little else in the back cargo area. I have noted the ease of overloading the cargo area and am careful then. I didn't think about the overload air bags. I will probably look into those. Thanks again.
