.Should coolant be milky?
had thermostat replaced and cooling system flushed. Now coolant is milky and mechanic says its because of old coolant in lines. Shouldn't that have been cleaned out when it was flushed?

    no. check your oil as well.
    quite often the intake manifold gaskets fail on those engines.
