1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE 6Cyl3.4L - Steering & Suspension

are there coil spring problems both fr and rear

Have replaced front springs 3 years ago because they broke now the rear ones have broke I've been a mech for a while and have hardley seen this much breakage on all the cars I've worked on?

  wow thats 1 powerfull site it sheds alot of insight to a host of problems I was having thanks for the info its a real eye opener.I should feel lucky i had car since 01 maybe I should play the lottery

  Agree with Spoon Sports - Seems like many different types / brands of vehicles have recalls and reports of coil spring failures, and not just in the wintery north U.S. (for example) where road salt is used regularly. Try these websites; www.kbb.com or www.carcomplaints.com and check the recalls listed by type of failure or problem.
