olds40316mm 9/19/2012Code P0172 (Bank 1 system to rich) Code P0175 (Bank 2 system to rich) Is it or has it been flooded with fuel, does it idle , my first guess if it's flooding it's self would be the (air by-pass idle solenoid or fuel pressure regulator) -
HouseCallAuto 9/19/2012Confirm that fuel pressure is within specs by checking with a gauge attached to the schrader valve on the fuel rail. These two codes could set from higher than normal fuel pressure. Fuel pressure should be 28 to 45 psi with the engine running. I would be interested in knowing also what happens if you erase the two codes and see if they both return and if any other add'l codes show up as well. Please describe the rough running more also. In a professional setting a mechanic would be looking at what is referred to as LTFT - Long Term Fuel Trim. I don't suppose you are using a scan tool with this data? Also, other sensor readings would help.
