Why does my clutch have no pressure?
Clutch did not slip at all but pedal suddenly lost pressure. We replaced the clutch slave cylinder but now it will not hold pressure. I have to pump the clutch repeatedly to ingage. What else could be wrong.

yboy82 7/13/2010It is possible that air is present in your system. After you replaced your clutch slave cylinder did you bleed your system? -
HouseCallAuto 7/13/2010You have to bleed out the air from the slave cylinder. The clutch master is where the fluid is added.. There is a special and specific bleeding procedure that has to be done exactly as stated in the shop manual. You really need to have a shop manual to perform this procedure. There are special tools required as well.
