clunking @ steering vibration when braking, changed rotors, can cv shaft cause this?

  The CV shaft can cause noises and vibrations. Does the clunking noise happen while turning? You should inspect the CV boots. If they are torn, there is a good chance the joint is worn.

  if the clunking only happens when you brake it is likely your lower ball joint is going bad, and this will cause vibration also
