Why do I here chirping noise when my truck is idling in park and it gets louder when pick up speed in drive.
My mileage is 170,000 miles. I recently had the fan belt changed by Good Year. Then this problem occurred. The problem is a chirping sound and when I looked at my engine, it seemed to be near the pulleys which support my fan belt. Also my check engine light come on and off intermitantly.

Replace the serpentine belt. They dry rot and then chirp.

I the serpentine belt replaced. I am hearing this chirping noise near the pulley at low and high speeds as well as when my truck is idling. Its the pulley on the left lower side of my engine. Should I replace the pulley?
