my check engine light is on , i check it with a code reader , it reads evop have a small leak , where do i find the evop

where do i find the evop , on the s40 volvo.

  The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. This can be the gas cap or small hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube from the gas tank to the engine, since is a small leak that can be hard to find it just by looking, the way to find it is with a smoke machine....Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back. Some times just replacing the gas cap can fix this problem..
