  i'm not a mechanic but i had this problem with my riv. my problem was the ring aroung the top of the fuel pump, which is located in the gas tank. the ring corroded and left a hole allowing air and debris to get in. there might not be enough pressure to peoperly drive the vehicle. if that's not it, there may be a cut or damaged fuel line.

  u might have to replace the tank, deppending on the size amd make and model of thee car and truck, what is riv ???... check the lines, of the fuel lines, or have them run air to see where the hole is.. the compressen of the fuel migh acurr at....
