Jimm 3/19/2014Need more information - how low on oil was the engine? How much engine oil was added?
AutoMD Member 3/19/2014three quarts and it was down tg quart
Jimm 3/19/2014Maybe not good - was there any engine noise or rattle heard previously? It is possible the low engine oil level has caused premature wear on the engine main or rod bearings. If this is the case, then you may either rebuild the existing engine or install a rebuilt engine. Oil starvation - even momentarily during operation - is a quick method to harm or kill an engine.
Before jumping to these conclusions - go and obtain a second opinion and assessment from a trusted repair shop in your area.
