1985 Renault Alliance DL 4Cyl1.7L - Engine

my car will start initially, but when it heats up a little bit, it dies and will not start up again until it has cooled

  Did you already check the condition of your fuel pump relay, PCV valve/hose, spark plugs and plug wires?

  Also try to check the condition of your engine coolant temperature sensor, if equipped.
