What would make my car shut off and start smoking under the hood? I just recently had it serviced so all fluids are good
I was driving down the interstate with my cruise on and got off and came to a stop sign and my car started smoking under the hood. I thought it might be a belt cause whenever I stopped it made this loud humming noise. I thought maybe something had broke. Really hoping for an easy fix

jsp 1/26/2013What kind of service did you get? very possible if you had a oil change, they left the dipstick out and oil spilled out and spilled onto the alternator. Depending on what kind of server you had. Let me know.
