1990 Honda CRX Base 4Cyl1.5L - Transmissions & Drivetrains
car shudders when I move off from cold start.
I suspect the clutch is worn and needs replacing but not 100% sure as
it performs o.k when the engine is hot and all the gears change o.k. Its a
manual 5 speed.

    You could be right. Seems like a clutch friction disk has lost its flexibility due to its age and won't smoothly mold itself when engaged. Heat might help 'loosen it up' a bit.
