1990 Pontiac Tempest Base 6Cyl3.1L - Transmissions & Drivetrains

My car does not want to go in reverse, he does it when he wants to, and most of the time he does not wants to.

I have changed the transmission oil and filter but stil the same thing. What do you suggest ?

  If the engine races (the RPMS) increase but the car does not move....you probably do have an internal transmission problem. In case this is whats happening youll be looking at either having it rebuilt or having to buy a new transmission
