My car makes a loud ticking/grinding noise that gradually gets louder and more frequent as the speed increases. Why?
The noise becomes more frequent as the speed increases. I can feel the ticks while I'm driving. The noise becomes slightly louder when I turn the wheel to the right while driving.

Jimm 8/10/2012Several possibilities; faulty / worn wheel bearing, faulty / worn CV joint halfshaft. Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com for the replacement parts. They (Rock Auto) list the wheel bearing (front) for around $6.00, and the CV halfshaft for around $44.00 each - for your vehicle.
