HouseCallAuto 5/15/2010That does not tell me anything other than the engine stalled which of course will cause the power steering and brake assist to not work. I assume that what you have now is an engine that cranks but will not start, am I correct? Or does it start and want to stall out?
Stupid with cars! 5/15/2010Thanks for your comment. We did not try to crank again b/c we are worried about a timing belt issue. I had it replaced at 85,000 and have 135,000 on it now. Understand if you try to crank if possible timing belt, then the engine could really have issues afterwards. I slowed down to turn right, and it just stopped working. I had my two children in the car, and I had just gotten off the interstate though, and that I'm feeling lucky about!
HouseCallAuto 5/15/2010Understand that you were already moving at speed, so, if the T-belt were the cause of the stall out, then whatever damage was done (if any); cranking it now to attempt to start it will not make matters worse. Try to start the engine and let me know what happens. There are a few things that could have stalled you out and they are not all huge things.
