can a broken temperature/ coolant sensor trigger a bank 2cat code?
I took my car to a repair shop to have the works done.oil change, radiat.,tranny flush and fuel system cleaning. After check eng. light came on so the shop paid 2replace my cat because they said the fuel sys. cleaning clogged it. Light came back on shop told me perhaps they replaced the wrong cat!! Now the engine comes on and off. Code read was p0420 I think? and i know for sure it said bank 2 low effiency.

Anytime there is a cat code, it would be wise just to make sure that the engine is not running too cool like from a bad thermostat. I doubt that they caused the cat code with them doing something wrong. I would not know how to do that if I wanted to and I'm in the business 35 years.
