1993 Honda Civic LX 4Cyl1.5L - Brakes

The BRAKES warning lamp in my dash is on. Brake pedal goes to floor. Master cylinder?

Pedal is normal (has resistance) when car is off but goes down to the floor when car is on. I have to use the hand brake sometimes to stay at a complete stop.

  With the loss of braking when the engine is 'on' this indicates a faulty power brake brake booster. Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse.com or www.rockauto.com for the replacement parts.
