1990 Nissan Stanza XE 4Cyl2.4L - Brakes

got a new brake light switch an the brake lights still stays on what do i do?

i can push the switch in myself and the lights go out so what am i missing?

  The switch needs to be adjusted so that the brake pedal makes more contact with the push button of the switch. Make sure nothing fell off that was attached to the spot on the brake pedal where it makes contact with the switch. This should not be a big deal to figure out.
