  Several possibilities; low brake fluid level (check and refill as necessary), low / worn brake pads (replace as required), fluid leak in system; leaking brake lines, flexible brake lines in front.

  Bring it to a skilled mechanic right away if the light goes off but the pedal sinks to the floor.
