Exactly where is the blower motor resister block located on the 04 Grand Marquis?

  Located in the engine compartment passenger side firewall looks like a black box with two heater hoses coming out of it, Follow the wires and it will look like a snail about 6 to 8 inchs across.

  Depending on the type of heating / ac option, this may not be a blower resistor, it may be a Blower Motor Speed Controller.

  I have auto temp control, so where would the Blower Motor Speed Controller be located. I can get the blower to run on high speed only if I jump the negative side of the blower power plug to ground, so I am assuming the the speed controller is bad.

  The blower motor speed controller is in the same place as the blower resistor would be. Engine compartment - firewall, toward the middle, electrical connector.

  Thanks, I finally found it and by removing the heater hose I got it out. I found that the ground had a failed solder joint and re-soldered it and everything works properly now.
