2005 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa 8Cyl4.2L - Body & Interior

The black interior around the ignition and on some of the buttons is very sticky and seems to be disintegrating. Ideas?

  If it is hard plastic, clean it with a rag and toluene carefully. Test an area 1st, and do be careful around painted lettering or decals. Then seal with a spray paint of the appropriate color. Alfas had a similar problem, the overhead console would get sticky and transfer color to your fingers. Some time later it would crumble.
