1992 Ford E-250 Econoline Base 8Cyl5.8L - Engine

battery will not hold charge. After jumping vehicle it runs fine, can even turn off and will restart.

can drive for over a hr, with no problems, but battery will die again overnight. While driving does not loose any power so don't think it is the alternator which is only three yrs. old.

  Your cause is either a bad battery or you have a parasitic drain that is drainiung the battery when the vehicle is parked. If the battery is older than 3 years old, it is your most likely cause. You would have mentioned if the battery was new, so replace the battery. If you had the battery checked and they said it was good, yet the battery is older than 3 years old, do not believe that, buy a new battery.

  Take IT to Autozone & have them test your battery.Will doit for free. SOwillWalmart.
