why does the battery get drained the next morning after a day of driving and starting fine

mielage is 175000 just put anew battery and it started up fine all day then the next morning the battery is drained charging system is working fine

  The radio is a common cause so try pulling the radio fuse and see if the battery holds a charge. Also, if the battery is old, like 3 or more years old, buy a new battery before you get crazy thinking you have a short.
