why am I getting bad gas mileage?

the car has 67,000 miles the car was hesitating in starting .. engine light came on and the code was fuel was too lean. I replaced fuel pump and everything seem okay. But now my gas mileage is bad .. I used to get 24 or so in city and now I barely getting 20. Yesterday it was 19 mpg.
Help what is wrong.

  Need to scan the system for trouble codes again. Is the check engine light still on? Did a shop replace the pump?

  No engine light is not on, the engine light went off. I had an individual that does work after hours fix it since cost was my problem.

  When was the last time you tune you car. take it to a mechanic you trust, check last tune, check air filter
  check fuel filter, check tire pressure , check oxygen sensor, your trusted mechanic will install a machine
  called scanner will scan any problem with your vehicle. allways ask how much it cost first. good luck
