2007 Audi S6 Base 10Cyl5.2L - Engine
I have an Audi S6 and i can start the car. I turn the key and nothing happens everything work in the car. i check the b
we just bought an Audi S6 and i can start the car. I turn the key and nothing happens everything work in the car. i check the battery and is reading 100%. I only got 1 key and 1 control remote. The car will not lock or unlock with the control remote.i place the key in the door and lock and unlocks the car. But when i place the key in the ignition and place my foot on the brakes it turns but nothing happens. when i push the botton to start it reads can identify key. is the control remote and the key no good?

    Thats what i would start with. See if the remotes are OK. Sounds like it was maybe dropped in water (not saying they werebut seems that half of it is working and the other half not). Check the battery in it. It could be failing and needs to be replaced. When you got the car did you get the restricked keys with it? Should have come with the master,valet an emergency keys. Black one is emergncy and the non folding one is the valet. If you did not get these keys for your car i ould go back to where you c=got the car and tell them that you NEED those other keys! If it was the other remote that openned the doors, and then you got this key. It will not work. Only the last key from starting the car will work. Using one key to drive the car and then switching to the next, and your car will not work. Maybe the pervious owners were using the other key and you got the second one? Do you also have a different key that is remote on your key chain? If so, there is a chance that, that key could be caosing some issues for you. There are alot of different things that could caus this. Just go from the cheapest/easiest way. I have the same car as you and love it!

    And there is no "base" with this car.
