  Sorry not a Mercedes mechanic, try to stay in my comfort zone more or less. Mercedes are expensive, parts are expensive, and usually aren't real DIY friendly.

  I don't need a repair. I just want to know in general, if you use brakes if you let up a little and then re apply

  You mean pumping the brakes to lessen wear on pads? 6 of one half dozen of the other in my opinion. Possible though.

  What you are describing if I read correctly is kind of how ABS works.

  Don't understand your question, rewrite it to convey what you are asking. What about the brakes?
