  Do you mean the air intake boot or hose from the exterior of the engine - that contains the air filter? If yes, the air hose / boot or intake runs from the air filter to the mass air flow sensor on the engine.

  Air breather pipe/tube to air filter normally connects to the valve cover of the engine.
