2002 Chevrolet Tracker LT 6Cyl2.5L - Engine

Air conditioning and engine care

Is it harder on the engine to run the AC with the fan on high or is it harder on low?
Also, is it easier to cool recirculated air or outside air? Which is easier on the engine?

  The fan has nothing to do with it, its the thermostat which dictates when the compressor should engage and disengage, you can put the blower on its highest setting and set the temp on low and it wouldnt strain the engine compared to putting the thermostat on high and blower low.
  
  Its easier to cool if you close the vents of your cabin.
